Retaining Walls / Sea Walls
There are many types of retaining walls. In the Pinellas, Pasco, and Hillsborough County area, we install 3 types: Concrete, Sheet Pile, or Boulders (Rip Rap).
- Rip Rap Concrete
80lb bags of specially mixed cement, carefully placed to create a wall. Secured with rebar and tie backs. When complete, provides a beautiful natural wall with a life expectancy of over 40 years. - Sheet Pile Walls
Often seen along with tidal waterways. Sheet Pile is driven and/or jetted into the ground and secured with tie back anchors. Wood and concrete are commonly used as caps on top of the wall. - Boulders (Rip Rap)
Another type of retaining wall used in tidal areas is limestone boulders. The boulders are set in place to create a barrier between land and water. - Gabeons
Cages filled with stone then placed to create a retaining wall. Often used along rivers, streams, and banks. - Geo Mat
A mat placed on hillsides, banks, and swale inclines to stabilize the ground and prevent erosion. - Swales
A groove or recessed area excavated into the ground. We design and install swales to guide water to an acceptable location. - Spillway (Flume)
A poured-in-place concrete swale or recessed area to guide water to an acceptable location without eroding a hillside, incline, or pond bank.
We construct our walls using our proven, time-tested designs. You will be provided drawings for your specific project and photos of similar walls.
